About the Hotel

home of the brave.

Formerly an industrial area, now with new clubs, global companies, contemporary museums - the neighbourhood surrounding the 25hours Hotel Zurich West thrives on change. To Alfredo Häberli, it is a location that deserves a special splash of colour. The designer from Zurich is known for his designs for Alias, Camper, Iittala, Luceplan, Vitra, and Moroso. He came up with the entire interior design concept. He combines new and classic design elements, creates colour worlds and illustrations in the rooms in juxtaposition with the modern setting. The central bar in the lobby is a marketplace for hotel guests, locals, and the neighbourhood’s scene kids. During the day, it offers workspaces and a relaxed atmosphere for meetings. For a lunch at noon, after work for a drink, pre-drinking before going clubbing, and everything inbetween. Always included: The view over the little Hard Turm Park and the terrace during summer.

ride it like you stole it.

We’re absolutely convinced: the best way to explore Zurich is on wheels. That’s why we’re determined to offer our guests the city’s coolest speedsters – like the bikes from our friends at Schindelhauer. Siegfried, Ludwig, Viktor or Lotte will be awaiting the visitor for a leisurely bike tour through the neighbourhood. On board you’ll find a tour map of the most charming routes round the city, curated by bike professionals especially for 25hours. Our cargo bike Anita or the hotel’s own Kickboards will give you a more laid-back spin through the city.

ready for relaxation.

Perched on the top floor overlooking the Business Plaza is the sauna and gym area. With its impressive urban view of the tracks converging on the main station, you can enjoy train-spotting between sweating it out and relaxing in this stylish playroom. Reminiscent of an island, the sauna itself is a free-standing cube in the middle of the room. It is surrounded by small relaxation areas.

seek & find.

The 25hours things shop at the reception is a showcase for original Swiss products on the one hand. But it’s also a place where guests can find selected products by our designer Alfredo Häberli. Things for everyday use or special souvenirs for loved-ones back home can be bought here around the clock.

Parking

There is underground parking available right at the hotel. It costs CHF 25 per day.

Public Transport

The hotel is situated close to the Toni-Areal tram station (Line 4).

The New Rebels of Italian Cuisine

The Science of Scent

Subtle and seductive, the aroma molecule Iso E Super was created in a laboratory in 1973. In 2006, the master perfumer Geza Schön bottled it pure to create Molecule 01 — a fragrance that fast gained a cult following the world over. Many more scents later, COMPANION visited Schön at his Berlin apartment and lab to get a whiff of the chemistry behind his ‘anti-fragrances’, and glean his take on the wellness industry’s obsession with nature (hint: it’s overrated).
