How do I find the hotel?

Is it possible to park in front of the hotel to load and unload my luggage?

No, that is not possible. It is best to drive directly into the underground car park. Click here for current information about parking facilities.

Why are additional taxes charged on my booking?

The booking price already includes the culture and tourism tax levied by the City of Hamburg. The charge paid to the City of Hamburg is based on the room rate. Minors and students are required to pay this tax as well.



Food & Drink

Where and when is breakfast served?

We serve breakfast in the heimat restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel on Mondays to Fridays from 6:30 to 10:30am and on weekends from 7 to 11:30am.

How do I book a table at the restaurant?

The heimat restaurant tends to get quite full. We strongly advise our guests to book a table in advance. Use the online reservation system to do so.

During the stay

Is there a sauna?

Guests are invited to use the port sauna on the 6th floor free of charge. Keys and a sauna bag are available from reception.

Is there an elevator at the hotel?

The hotel has several elevators.

Is there a fitness room at Hotel?

The hotel does not have its own gym. Day passes for the neighbouring Prime Time Fitness just around the corner on Überseeboulevard are available at reception for the reduced price of EUR 8.

Are there rooms with connecting doors?

Yes, we have several rooms with a connecting door. The best way to book one of these rooms is to contact our reservations department directly. Contact details can be found on the hotel website.

Is smoking allowed at the hotel?

Smoking is only permitted in the designated outside areas of the hotel. All of our rooms are non-smoking rooms.

Is laundry service available?

If you drop off your laundry at reception by 9am during the week, we will return the clean items to your bunk by 7pm on the same day. The price list and laundry bags are available at reception, along with an iron and ironing board.

Is luggage service available?

We would be happy to take care of your luggage until your room is free on the date of your arrival or after check-out until your departure. It will be kept safely at reception.

Is there a bike rental service?

The hotel has a fleet of Schindelhauer bikes. The sporty bikes from the Berlin manufacture are available as regular models or e-bikes. It is not possible to book a bike in advance. The bikes are rented out on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Simply enquire at reception when you arrive.

Is there coffee, tea and kettle in the rooms?

Tea, coffee and a kettle are only included in the Extra Large rooms.
